Andrew Silver Co-Founder and CTO
A company co-founder, Andrew Silver now serves as Tango Networks’ Chief Technology Officer. Silver is an entrepreneur and business technologist who has held senior management and director roles in large and small wireless companies including Ericsson, Nortel Networks, Comverse and Spatial Wireless. He is an accomplished speaker at wireless industry forums and has been granted more than 50 patents in wireless communications systems. Silver holds an electrical engineering degree and an MBA from McGill University.
Douglas J. Bartek Co-Founder, President & CEO
Doug is a recognized leader with more than 40 years of industry experience. He has led more than 20 successful sales, acquisitions, mergers, and financings of high-tech firms. Prior to co-founding Tango Networks, he founded and led Microtune, a firm that he took public. He was a division president at Cirrus Logic, was president and CEO of Acumos, and has held various leaderships at other leading enterprises. Bartek has an electrical engineering degree from the University of Texas and both a M.Eng. and an MBA from Arizona State University.
Nigel Smith Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales
Nigel is responsible for Tango Networks’ business operations in the EMEA region. He brings more than 30 years experience in the industry, and has worked for companies such as BT, Cable and Wireless, Cisco & Amdocs. Smith was most recently CTO and head of business development at VoxSmart. Previously held product marketing and business development of UC solutions at Amdocs. Nigel has taken the stage at many industry events, addressing topics such as IPTV service fulfillment and IMS charging design.
Lathan Lewis Chief Business Development Officer
Lathan, with more than 15 years of telecom industry experience and multiple patents, serves as Tango Networks’ vice president of business development. His prior experience includes Nortel where he focused on wireline, enterprise, and next generation wireless technologies. Lewis has a computer science degree from Texas A&M and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Robert Hegwood Vice President, Global Operations
Robert has 40 years of telecommunications industry experience and is responsible for worldwide operational support, service delivery, and product introduction into the wireless carrier and enterprise network environments. He previously served in various senior management positions, including Tier 1 wireless carrier customer program management operations for Mitel’s mobile division. Hegwood served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, and was a cryptologic officer. He has a B.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
Shravan Gaddam Chief Product Officer
Shravan oversees Product and R&D operations in India and the U.S., working with sales and business development to enhance existing products and optimize system designs based on customer needs. He has more than 17 years of experience developing next-gen wireless and IP-based products and Unified Communications solutions. Previously, he was VP of Product Management and System Engineering at Voxox and before that Chief Architect at Mavenir Systems. He has a B.E. (Hons.) degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India.
Tara Hurley Vice President, Finance & Controller
As Vice President of Finance and Controller for Tango Networks, Tara is responsible for implementing and maintaining general accounting procedures and ensuring the accurate reporting of financial data. She is also involved in investor relations and managing payroll and benefits for all employees. The majority of her 10 years of accounting experience has been with companies providing software solutions, including Quickoffice and Google. Hurley is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a degree in Accounting from the University of North Texas.
Adam Boone Vice President, Strategic Planning
Adam Boone runs marketing for Tango Networks, bringing 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, strategy, and media, including networking, security and telecom companies. He led marketing for two Sequoia Capital start-ups with successful exits. Boone’s marketing management experience includes Subex, Sipera (acquired by Avaya), Syndesis, CoManage, Certes Networks, Accipiter, Marconi, FORE Systems and AT&T. He holds an MBA from Arizona State University and completed the Competitive Marketing Strategy Program at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
